I think Mike Mills is famous.  He’s a great designer, but I’m not sure where his fame come from.  I know him from the Sonic Youth Washing Machine album (he didn’t design those blue t-shirts, I don’t think.  I’m not sure he took the cover photo either).  He directed a movie recently called Thumbsucker, which I have not seen, but the posters are really nice:

The sentence on the pink cover sounds like something Miranda July would use for a book Incidentally, Mills designed July’s latest book’s cover and yes, they are dating, according to Wikipedia, but that’s none of our business and completely unrelated to what I’m talking about here.

Mike Mills has a brand, called humans, based in Japan, I think, and it’s got some really nice products.  My favorite: Franny & Zooey canvas bag.
