I’m a big fan of Zipcar. Good idea, great service, and the people there seem to really care about the customer’s experience. Basically it’s a membership car rental service, but instead of renting for a full day, you get to rent for just the hours you need, and you get charged by the hour.  As a member, you reserve your car online.  The site is ok - not the smoothest, but it does its job.  Today I received an email from them about a new reservation system that will launch tomorrow:
