Some news in the studio: our second product, Harvest, has made headlines on Lifehacker… twice. There’s been a lot of people signing up (thanks!), and we’ve gotten some good feedback. Since the launch of Harvest, a couple of guys have commented on how our interface design is a rip off of the 37 Signals folks. We respect them folks over at 37s, and we use their great products (Basecamp, Campfire and Backpack) everyday, and we respect them too much to want to steal from them. I can’t say that we’re not affected by their designs (using their products every hour, every day will do that to ya), but we have spent a lot of time on Harvest’s interface that I hope there are some signs of originality there - especially our reporting screens, don’t you just love them?
The print head on my Epson 1280 died, and one color just won’t print out. Decided to buy a new printer and got the Epson all-in-one CX4800. I’ve never purchased an all-in-one before, instead opting for buying specific tools for what they do best, and I ended up with a scanner, a printer, a card reader, and a film scanner. That’s too much crap to take care of, and I soon realized that I don’t really need to have the best tools in everything. The all-in-one do many things, and do them decently, and that’s all I really need.
Saw this in the lobby of my apartment, and I really like the design:
The flyer is black and white, and seems to have been reproduced via Xerox. It’s really beautiful… Not something I expected from the Fore Greene Association. More pictures on flickr.

I have an all-in-one too, and I only use the scanner, cuz after my forth f**king ink-jet, I oculdn’t take it - I splurged for C510N Lexmark Color Laster (still under $400 on eBay) and this finally, has kicked my inkjet problems - spent more time f**king with inkjets and bad print-outs than is worth to write about.
